Happiness @Work
I think we have a problem!
We keep doing the same thing. We keep going to the same place. We keep thinking the same way.
Then we wonder why our life is so dull. We wonder why could not think outside the box like those we admire. We wonder why you are not achieving more.
Let me explain.
Admit it. You have a selective mind when it come to remembering. You tend to remember pleasant, nice, good memories but you tend to forget any mistakes, hurting and painful experience.
You have a delicious dinner at a restaurant and you put in on your list of favorite places to go back to.
You like a book and get the author ‘s other books to read.
You try a particular approach with a person, you manage to strike a good conversation, so you repeat the same with other people.
Think about how you tend to decide whether something is good or bad with memories which you have become stuck with.
I have a solution
The habit of looking back may simpli?es your everyday life without you having to make every little decision. Putting too much of your life on auto pilot may will lead to a mind that is indifference.
Try to see things as they are instead of associating them to your past. You will stop thinking too much , stop blaming somebody else and can start doing something good.
Know the consequence
When too much of your life is run on automatic based on past recollection of experience, you lose the ability to react spontaneously to the many beautiful and pleasant experiences that come your way.
Without the thrill of trying out new ways and the fascination of seeing what we have not seen before, the game of life would not be interesting.
How much of what you do, your experience, and the way you react to work and people are pre determined by your memories? Now you know why you feel constraint and not able to think outside of the boxes you work in.
Learn and Do
Now for a change, try to go through your days without looking back at what had happen and what you have done before. You will surely find each moment of the day to be refreshing and simply fascinating.
